Get him to commit on where he stands, be firm and just

- CYRUS BROACHA

My dad is probably having an affair, and my mom has no idea. Her work keeps her away from home most of the time. Theirs is an unhappy marriage and I don’t want to see my mom get hurt for such a relationship. She has been through a similar situation a few years back. Is this situation worth subjecting my mom to anguish?

DR DR, when the Polynesian parachutist Otea – THAI lost his grandmom at a trade fair in Frankfurt, he immediately found his other grandmom, who lived in Latvia, and took her home instead. Thus limiting the damage. You have to do the same. Limit the damage. Do this by first talking to your father, alone. Let him know how you feel, get him to commit on where he stands. Let him know the direction you are going in, and that you will protect your mom at all costs. You are calling the shots DR. You are the President of this company. Be firm and just, just don’t lose a relative at a World Fair.

I am in a platonic relationship with my crush for the last six years. We chat regularly and know almost everything about each other. But, we avoid meeting each other. Please suggest ways to start chatting and sharing messages again, as we have stopped doing this now. Muse Muse, yours is a very confusing question. What do you mean by we avoid meeting each other. If people like each other then why would they avoid meeting each other? Look at how Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump met. They clearly like each other. Then last week, the Lieutenant Governor and Kejriwal did not meet. So, clearly they don’t like each other. So what is with the two of you? After six years of ‘client servicing’ you can be candid and tell your platonic friend that meeting is the obvious next step. If he doesn’t want to meet, then something else is going on. Don’t leave this for later, or it may be too late. That situation is called doing an L.K.Advani

I met this guy I got to know on Instagram thrice. He said he liked me and wanted to go to the next stage. But, just when I started considering it, he disappeared from my life. A month later, he called up and apologised; he said his father had a heart attack and he lost his job. He wanted to start things afresh. But, the next day, he disappeared again. Recently, I saw a missed call from him at 4am. Why is he behaving like this?

Ghosted girl Ghosted Girl, firstly where is this next step located? Is it close by, say, behind your house? Is it in the same lane or colony as your residence? Now with G.P.S. available, pinpoint the location, accurately. However, if the guy is to be believed, then you need to show patience and give him a long rope. If he has a lot of turmoil going on, it’s normal behaviour to run around like a headless chicken. All this is explained, along with an authentic recipe of Baking Duck, in Gordon Ramsey’s unofficial biography, ‘Diary of a headless chicken’. Looks like he needs your help and support. Don’t overreact to his erratic behaviour. Remember he’s still interested, of all over the place. I hope you understand though that I’m talking about Gordon Ramsey and not your “friend”.

I broke up with my girlfriend six months back. But, I haven’t been able to move on. I tried talking to her, but didn’t get a favourable response. I think she too misses me. Should I move on? AD See, who talks to their girlfriend, constantly, after breaking up? Unless she’s your doctor, landlord, or parking attendant, what is the need to constantly talk to her? And if you are not getting a favourable response from her, then what tells you she’s misses you? I mean it’s not like she’s texting ‘I miss you’, or ‘I love you’ seven times a day. As a fully qualified practising private investigation, I can’t find a shred of evidence, that your ex wants you back. So switch on to ‘reality’. Get over your disappointments, and instead save your disappointment for losses in the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
