HEALTH STRUCK WITH RHEA CHAKRABORTY, ACTOR
What is one fattening food item that you cannot resist?
Ras malai.
How do you get back in shape post a fattening indulgence?
I train hard, stop the sugar and the maida intake and sleep on time.
Do you prefer mini meals? What do they normally contain?
No, I love large quantities of food, but I stick to mediumsized meals. Rice, dal and sabzi are my go-to meal. I love home-made food.
What is a diet plan that always works for you?
It’s home food for the win. I prefer poha and idli for breakfast; dal, rice and sabzi for lunch. Apart from that, I love home-made Chinese food such as fried rice and vegetable curry.
Do you work out at home? And what exercises do you do at home?
Sometimes I do workout at home. I start my day with yoga and meditation. I love doing a head stand every day.
Do you prefer outdoor or indoor physical activity?
I prefer outdoor activity any day. I love playing tennis and swimming.
What are your favourite physical activities?
Yoga, kick boxing, functional training, tennis, swimming and dancing. I’m an endorphin junkie.
What is a healthy tip that you always rely on?
I have recently started doing transcendental meditation as it keeps any kind of stress at bay. Stress is the biggest cause of any health problem. I believe that no stress is the key to a happy life.
