- Aritra Hazra

MUMBAI: A 34-year-old pilot, employed with one of the top airlines in India, has lodged a complaint with the Bandra police, accusing her husband – a businessman by profession – of physically torturing her and forcing her to have unnatural sexual intercourse.

She has also alleged that her husband is having an extramarital affair with a former beauty pageant winner. Two relatives of the businessman have also been named in the complaint.

The police is on the lookout for the businessman after the city sessions court rejected his anticipatory bail application on Saturday.

“The complainant said her husband would physically assault her and also accused him of having unnatural sexual intercourse with her, after consuming excessive alcohol. The accused is a businessman who deals in glass in Gujarat. The complainant left her husband’s house in Ahmedabad and stays in Bandra now,” said a source.

The complainant claimed that after returning to Mumbai she got to know her husband was admitted in hospital. When she tried to meet him, she realised another woman, who is a former beauty pageant winner, was with him during his treatment. The complainant alleged the woman and her husband were having an extramarital affair.

The source said, “The former beauty pageant winner told the complainant that the latter was not a part of the businessman’s life anymore.”
