Geeta wants voters to judge her on the basis of her work
Regular on Facebook and Whatsapp, the JBSP candidate always keeps a hand book to note down voters’ grievances whenever she visits a village
CHAIBASA: Geeta Koda, the Jai Bharat Samanta Party (JBSP) candidate from Singhbhum, is displaying a positive attitude during campaigning by refraining from criticising her rivals.
Instead she is seeking votes based on development works carried out by her and her husband Madhu Koda, the former CM and sitting MP.
Koda, a mother of a fiveyear-old girl, woke up early on Saturday and started her day with her favourite cup of tea. Before leaving for campaigning, she had breads with curry as breakfast.
On her way towards Chakradharpur on a Scorpio, Koda quickly went through her Facebook account and other social sites to update her friends and supporters about her movement.
“I have been using social networking sites for several years now and it is the best way to stay connected with one’s own. I love to get feedbacks from friends and family about local developments over phone and WhatsApp. It makes my work easy and I solve public problems promptly,” Koda said.
The JBSP candidate addressed a gathering at various villages under the Chakradharpur assembly constituency. These included Borda, Chandri, Chainpur and a

After reaching a particular village, Koda takes out her pen and paper to note down public grievances. Locals accord her a warm welcome with flowers and she interacts with them for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Locals show her respect and list their grievances to Koda. These included water supply, power, roads, schools and health centres. Old women appealed her to help them in getting BPL cards, benefits of old age pension and Indira Awas Yojana.
Koda noted down the demands and promised she would address their grievances if she wins the elections. “While campaigning, I get just a couple of minutes to convince the locals about me. I seek votes on the basis of my development works. I have proved my service in this backward constituency. Now, voters are left to judge whether they will support me or not,” Koda said.
During the daylong campaign, Koda addressed the residents of around 30 villages and covered more than 200 km. While on her way, local women offered her food and fruits. She expressed her love for children by talking to them in Ho language
