Three yrs on, notice issued to builder in property fraud case
LUCKNOW: Struggling to get his hard-earned money back, project manager of a private construction company got some relief when the city police included the builder’s name in the list of accused in a fraud case.
The development comes nearly three years after the FIR for fraud in the name of flat booking was registered.
The Hazratganj police had recently issued a notice to the builder after the complainant approached the senior police officials at DGP headquarters.
In the notice issued dated December 17, the police had asked him to turn up before it to record his statements over allegations of fraud.
Earlier, Jai Ram Jalan, the owner of Spring Greens project was not made the accused despite the complainant, Satish Chandra Pandey, lodging FIR against him and his sales agent for duping him in the name of booking flat in his wife Neeta’s name on September 29, 2014.
While sales agents, Saurabh Rausha and Asim Chaturvedi, were arrested and sent to jail, the builder was given the clean chit due to unknown reasons.
The complainant told the cops that he had booked the flat by giving an advance amount of ₹ 20 lakh to the project’s authorised sales agent Saurabh Rausha on December 2, 2013 but he never got the flat’s possession nor his money was returned. He said the builder put the entire blame on Rausha for financial bungling and did not owned the responsibility even when the booking was done through his authorised agent. He said the builder even got his name removed from the FIR during investigation. CO Hazratganj Abhay Mishra said probe has restarted after including the name of the builder as one of the accused and the notice has been issued to him.
