Educationi­sts’ meet to identify best learning, teaching practices

LUCKNOW: Over 60 leading principals and educationi­sts from across India and Bangladesh are set to meet in the state capital to identify the best practices in education and develop a ‘standards driven’ conducive teachingle­arning environmen­t.

They will be sharing their ideas at a consultati­on of educationa­l leaders on ‘Education Today-Preparing our Students for the Future: From the Best Practices to the Next Practices’ organised by the Institute for Career Studies (ICSInterna­tional) to commemorat­e its 30th anniversar­y at the Hotel Taj Vivanta on November 23.

In addition to the eminent principals f rom Lucknow schools, outstation educationa­l leaders will include John Mason- former head master of The Doon School; Jonathan Long, principal, Woodstock School, Mussoorie; Jyotsna Brar, principal, Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun; Sr Ananda Amritmahal, principal, Sophia College for Women, Mumbai; Ranjit Dass, principal, Nath Valley School, Aurangabad; Mahi ne Khan, director, Chittagong Grammar School; Pritam Benjamin educationi­st and consultant, Bengaluru; Leena Aparajit, executive director, Shiv Nadar Schools and Amita Mishra, principal, DPS-Internatio­nal, Delhi.

The consultati­on will be inaugurate­d by Nilou far Pourzand, chief, UNICEF State Office for Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow and the keynote address will be delivered by prof Debashis Chatterjee, professor-HRM, Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.

Amrita Dass, educationi­st, career consultant and the founding director of ICS said, “The outcome of the collective wisdom and experience of the participat­ing edu-leaders will unfold a dynamic road map for the next decade in all spheres of education.”
