BAREILLY: The furniture city is also famous for its kohl, gems

and junk jewelry.

JHANSI: An important town of Bundelkhan­d it is better known for its legendary warrior queen ‘Jhansi ki Rani’.

KANPUR: The commercial capital of UP also known for its leather industries.

LUCKNOW: The state capital or the City of Nawabs is rich in architectu­ral and cultural heritage.

VARANASI: The Prime Minister’s constituen­cy, also known as the spiritual capital, has been included as a world heritage city.

GHAZIABAD: Is known as the real estate hub of UP.

RAMPUR: Famous for its Nawabs and museums.

MEERUT/RAE BARELI: Status not clear.

ALLAHABAD: The Kumbh City is famous for Sangam – the confluence of rivers Ganga and Yamuna.

AGRA: Once the capital of Mughal Empire, Agra is just 60 km from Mathura and presents a unique blend of Braj and Mughal culture. It is probably the only city having three world heritage-listed monuments including Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort.
