DEEPAK KAPOOR,

We need a proactive role from stakeholders to firstly, invest in broad scale R&D. Businesses must take a leading role in developing new solutions for India. Secondly, creating an enabling environment for India’s entrepreneurs is crucial for government and large corporates. Thirdly, we need to attract bilateral partnerships.

Firstly, we need better quality of education. It is no longer a question of just having access to education. Secondly, we need to inculcate a strong self worth among citizens. Every productive individual contributes to a productive society. Thirdly, we need to change the way we treat our women. A society that does not respect women is bankrupt.
DEEPAK PAREKH,
Chairman, HDFC
The three things that are needed are ease of doing business, creation of jobs and reforms in police, judiciary, land and labour. It is difficult to get permissions fast for projects but the situation can be improved if we were to simplify doing business which will also include reduction of bureaucracy. The initiative on Make in India is positive and should be intensified to create more jobs.
SANGRAM SINGH,
Wrestler and TV personality
Being responsible is most important. Treat your country like your own house. Keep it clean and avoid wastage of any sort – food, water or electricity. Secondly, education of youth is a must. And it’s not just about academic education but also moral values. Thirdly, the country as a whole should stick to its goal. Aim high and never give up on dreams and visions.
