NEW DELHI: AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said people are not actually looking for a stable government at the Centre but an “honest government” which can ensure overall economic growth.

“If stability is an issue, what was wrong with the Manmohan Singh gover nment? I t i s not l i ke t hat. People are fed up of scams.” Kejriwal said in response to a question at the Google Hangout anchored by IBN 18 Network’s Rajdeep Sardesai. “What people want is an honest government, which will ensure economic growth for all.”

Kejriwal said this soon after stating that AAP would not give or take support to or from the Congress or the BJP.

Aditi Singh, an engineering student asked, “After great support for the Janlokpal movement and your government, you quit and are now fighting for the Lok Sabha. You just said you will not enter into any alliance for forming a government. So, what is the point of fighting the Lok Sabha election? What should a first-time voter like me do?”

“You will need to answer the wrong propaganda. I am here and want re-election. It is the BJP and the Congress that do not want a re-election. We are into value-based politics,” the former Delhi chief minister said.

He, however, evaded a question on whether he would come back to fight for chief ministership of Delhi if he wins from the Varanasi seat in the Lok Sabha elections.
