Britney Spears files for restraining order against ex-manager
Against his own expectations, Ryan Reynolds has emerged as one of Hollywood’s top movie stars, thanks in large part to the runaway success of his two Deadpool movies that seemed to unlock Reynolds’ own powers of motor-mouthed sarcasm. In an interview, Reynolds discusses his stardom, Deadpool and his latest film Pokemon Detective Pikachu, where he continues to use his sharptongued talents for good — or at least, for a more cuddly, family-friendly movie. Excerpts:
I did about an hour of motion capture and performance capture on Deadpool 2 (2018) as Juggernaut. But this is the first time I’ve really been in that world in this immersive way, where I’m shaping a character’s arc from the beginning to the end with motion capture. You’re wearing a tracking suit, head to toe. There are multiple cameras fixed to your head, which is completely insane. I’m sure that in our Instagram world there are people wondering where they can buy that for their personal use. It’s a mythical pocket monster. There’s no tether to reality whatsoever with this character. It’s pretty free rein, which is its own weird burden. Once possibilities become limitless, you can get a little locked up. It took me a couple of sessions to realise everything’s possible and to just embrace that. It’s really just a matter of accessing that six-year-old part of your brain that’s fuelled exclusively on imagination, and just let that run wild. I wish I could do every movie like this. Dear god, yes. There’s probably an entirely different film that they could cut together that wouldn’t make the PG (parental guidance) cut at all. When you’re feeling that kind of freedom, you don’t really govern yourself by rating systems or that sort of thing. Some of the stuff that I’ve done in the past that you would categorise as maybe ‘didn’t work’ were moments where I was stepping into the role of the archetypal leading-man role. It’s just not something I’ve ever been really that great at, to be totally blunt. I have immense respect for those who are great at it. But I also think our idea of a traditional, leading man, archetypal male is changing wildly day to day, over the last five years in particular. And I think that’s great. I think that’s evolution, to put it in Pikachu terms. I’ve never really looked at things from the 30,000-foot view of ‘how will this shape public perception of me?’ That stuff honestly makes me nauseous to even think about. Really, it just came organically. They had animated a test example of Pikachu and they had obviously tried out a whole bunch of actors’ voices to it. And they tried out mine and for whatever reason, it worked, according to them. I think that juxtaposition between his visuals and me being kind of acerbic and grumpy as his voice is a match made in heaven.
According to the legal documents obtained by TMZ, American singersongwriter Britney Spears shares a dark past with her ex-manager Sam Lutfi and he has been harassing her and her parents.
Following this, Britney has filed for a temporary restraining order against him. She has requested protection from Lutfi on Tuesday in LA County Superior Court.
According to the documents, Lutfi has been sending texts to Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, and has been posting “disparaging and threatening comments” on social media, which include calling for the public to “raise hell” to free Britney.
He has been apparently instigating the star’s followers for the #freebritney movement. Fans concerned about the singer’s well-being used the hashtag on Twitter (making it a trend, too), especially after she checked into a mental health facility to help cope with her father, Jamie Spears’ illness, reported E! News.
In the documents, Britney’s lawyers have stated that Lutfi sent Lynne a text last week, calling her out for not getting
involved in Britney’s conservatorship and decisions about the singer’s mental health treatment. They also claimed that Lutfi offered Lynne $1,000 to “disrupt and take over” the conservatorship. However, Lynne refused the money.
The documents obtained also stated that Lutfi threatened them to release old personal items of the singer from when he was her manager in the early 2000s.
Actor Keanu Reeves says the training for his film John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum was not at all easy.
“The vision for this film was so ambitious that I went into serious training four months before,” Reeves said in a statement.
“There are so many different kinds of action sequences — not only more styles of martial arts and more gun play, but also motorcycles, horses and dogs — so the training was intense. But honestly, I love it. I love this character and I love the John Wick universe (that) we have created,” added the 54year-old.
Talking about the training, he said: “Sometimes I would think that maybe the training for this film was hard because of my age, but then I realised
this one would be hard even if I wasn’t 54 because there’s so much action. It’s demanding but I like it that way.”
Reeves will be back as the remorseful assassin John Wick. He has teamed up with actor Halle Berry for another mission. Chapter three will pick up in the aftermath of John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017), with Wick excommunicated and on the run. The film is set to release on May 17.
For Reeves, action is all about a connection between the audience and the character. “If that connection is there, the action has an emotional impact and you can feel the stakes,” he said. The film is directed by Chad Stahelski and new cast members include actors Anjelica Huston, Asia Kate Dillon and Jerome Flynn.
