Presently working as assistant professor in the Department of Food & Nutrition, Institute of Home Science, Dr BR Ambedkar University, Ankita is a registered dietician and has also worked in All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi. Having completed her early education from Loreto Convent, Lucknow and Banasthali Vidyapeth, Rajasthan; Ankita has achieved a lot in a short span of career. On the website there are pictures of more than 300 + recipes present with their portion sizes and nutrient composition along with this one can register and get customized diet chart as well. Ankita has been educating people about healthy eating and lifestyle, which has become of tremendous importance in today’s time when metabolic diseases have increased manifold. Besides, this she has been carrying out research on various underutilized food products like – arbi leaves, buckwheat flour, rajgira flour, cinnamon and flaxseed to popularize their use and benefit in day to day living. She has also carried out surveys on adolescent fitness, health status of menopausing women, old age. Ankita has organised several diet counselling camps, food preservation exhibitions and nukkad nataks in slums to educate the masses on various aspects of health.
