COLONY TRANSFER: A TIMELINE
Feb 2016: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar directs MCG to take over maintenance of DLF Phase 1-2-3, Sushant Lok Phase 1 and Palam Vihar
Jan to Apr 2017: Suncity, South City 1 and 2, and Ardee City added to the list of private colonies to be transferred. (Ardee City is later removed as developer fails to procure part completion certificate) May 2017: MCG’s outsourced consultant starts surveying eight colonies for assessing deficiency in services Aug 2017: DPR of surveys uploaded on MCG’s website, inviting feedback from residents, developers and RWA’s Sep 2017 to Apr 2018: State government and developers fail to come to an agreement over parameters mentioned in the DPR
May 1, 2018: During a highlevel meeting, state government and developers agree on certain measures and decide that a new DPR needs to be compiled in
accordance with their final agree- ment
June 8, 2018: Minutes of May 1st meeting approved by CMO June 21, 2018: MCG submits latest DPR July 14, 2018: Developers given two months to fix deficiencies and hand over the colonies to MCG
Aug 9, 2018: Town and Country Planning department directs developers to transfer colonies by August 31 on ‘as is where is’ basis
Aug 24: Developers, civic officials to deliberate on the date of colony transfer.
