St. Froebel School: Celebrating Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar Milestones, Inspiring Futures! explores education through monuments
St. Froebel Sr. Sec School Paschim Vihar marked significant milestones in its academic calendar with a series of events that celebrated the spirit of learning, community, and new beginnings. The grandeur of graduation day, named 'Odyssey,' illuminated the school grounds as the lamp was lit, accompanied by the sacred Gayatri Mantra. Principal, Dr. Neeraj Vohra commended the students for their dedication and perseverance. The celebrations continued with 'Rendezvous, the Orientation Day and also hosted ‘Acclimatization Day” where Dr. Neeraj Vohra extended a warm welcome to the new students and their families, emphasizing the school's commitment to academic excellence, accompanied by a plethora of activities like tattoo painting and storytelling, where both students and parents indulged in the festivities, fostering bonds within the school community. The Preschool coordinator, in a heartwarming closing ceremony, expressed gratitude to all participants, reaffirming the school's commitment to providing a nurturing environment for every student. These events signified the ethos of St. Froebel Sr. Sec School— where every step is a celebration of learning, growth, and togetherness.
Students from Classes IX, X and XII of Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar came together to explore different subjects through an in-depth study of historical monuments and architectural sites. This exciting new educational initiative, Education Through Monuments, has been spearheaded by Sandeep Sethi, Director (Education) MSMSII Museum Trust, Jaipur.
The students have chosen monument, Rajon ki Baoli at Mehrauli, and delved into the history, science, engineering, mathematics and economics behind its construction and working. The need for water conservation, the importance of Baolis and the story behind were all incorporated into the lyrics of a song which was set to music and choreographed by them. A bioscope created by the art students along with beautiful painting of the Rajon ki Baoli made by carbon tracing technique. More than 30 schools from across the country were presented at the final presentation.
The young presenters received much appreciation for their concept clarity, confidence and strong communication skills and were complimented by personalities Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE, Purnima Datt, Principal Director at INTACH, Abhinav Singhal, Cofounder, Class24, Vikramjit Singh Rooprai, renowned author, educationist and heritage activist and many more.
