Hima, Neeraj in Forbes India’s ‘30 under 30’ list
NEW DELHI : Hima Das, Neeraj Chopra and Smriti Mandhana have been featured in Forbes India’s ‘30 under 30’ list for extraordinary and disruptive achievements in business.
The broad criteria used to select achievers across 16 categories is impact of their achievements, their ability to disrupt the environment they operate in, potential to stay a long-term talent and the scalability of the business or line of work.
Hima, the first Indian to win a gold medal in a track event at the IAAF World U20 Championships, had a stellar 2018 winning three medals at the Asian Games in Jakarta. Javelin thrower Neeraj made the country proud winning gold at the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games and is seen as a hope for India at the Tokyo Olympics.
MANDHANA TOO IN LIST
Mandhana was awarded ICC’S Women’s Cricketer of the Year and Women’s ODI Player of the Year. She was the leading run scorer in women’s ODIS last year with 669 runs at an average of 66.90.
“The odds of success have little to do with whether you are 25 or 52. It’s just that starting early helps. And that’s why our ‘30 under 30’ listing matters,” said Brian Carvalho, Editor, Forbes India.
