Nadda begins nationwide tour
BJP president J.P. Nadda on Friday began his nation-wide tour to assess the party’s organisational strength, till the booth level, and further strengthen the party machinery before Assembly polls and the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Nadda commenced his tour from Uttarakhand, where Assembly polls are scheduled in 2022 and is also the venue for the religious congregation ‘Kumbh’ next year.
On a four-day visit to the hill state, Nadda visited the Shanti Kunj Gayatri Pariwar in Haridwar on the first day and met saints and seers of the Niranjani Akhara and later participated in the Ganga aarti.
Nadda will be holding meeting with the chief ministers, state officebearers, MLAs, MPs and cadre to take stock of the party’s “real strength on the ground.”
During this nation-wide tour, Nadda’s priority will also be visiting those constituencies which the BJP lost in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Nadda will take stock of the Assembly election preparations in the states and will also meet eminent citizens in each and every state. He will also hold meetings with the social media volunteers, who play a key role in conveying the party’s messages, including during the election season.
On Sunday, the BJP president will be holding a detailed meeting at the Bijapur House in Dehradun with MPs, MLAs and party leaders and will also hold deliberations with the party leaders on BJP’s ideology, political viewpoint and how to guide the party ahead.
