DOCTORS, MEDICAL STAFF, SANITATION WORKERS TO GET INCENTIVES: KCR

Addressing a press conference at Pragathi Bhavan, he said an incentive amounting to
10 per cent of gross salary will be paid as Chief Minister’s Special Incentive to doctors and medical staff in recognition of the hard work and service rendered by them towards saving lives of people despite threat to their own lives in face of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The CM announced
`7,500 as Chief Minister’s Special Incentive to each sanitation worker belonging to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Hyderabad Metro Water Works and Sewerage Board.
Applauding safai karamcharis as “safai Anna – salaam Anna”, the Chief Minister announced `5,000 incentive to each of the karamcharis working for municipalities and gram panchayats across the state.
The CM said that though the government is facing a severe financial crunch following the lockdown, incentives were still being extended to these staff in appreciation of their services.
He stated that in fact a
10 per cent cut was imposed on salaries of sanitation workers. It has now been decided to pay them a 10 per cent deferment with immediate effect.
The Chief Minister explained that generally the state gets `2,400 crore revenue in the first week of April. But, due to the lockdown, the government has received only `6 crore till date. The state government is making all possible efforts to ensure that there is no shortage of funds for combating
Covid-19, he added.
