Himachal humble Hyd in national T20 league game
Himachal Pradesh proved it’s prowess and handed Hyderabad a heavy defeat of 84 runs in the Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy
Twenty20 match on Monday.
Batting first, Himachal posted 183 for 5 in their stipulated overs with the help of Ekanth’s 38. In reply, Hyderabad faltered badly with the entire team returning to the pavilion for a paltry 99. Meanwhile, Himalay Agarwal of Hyderabad showed some resistance with his gritty 21 but couldn’t save his side.
Meanwhile in the BCCI men’s Under 19 Challenger, India ‘B’ hammered India ‘A’ by six wickets. Electing to bat, India ‘A’ posted 231 for 9 in
50 overs. India ‘A’ comfortably overhauled the target to reply with 235 for 4 in
40.5 overs. Hyderabad’s Thakur Tilak Varma scored 43 before retiring hurt. Siddhesh Ashok
Veer then took charge and smashed 103 not out to script the win.
In another match, India ‘C’ scored a comfortable victory over Nepal. Batting first, Nepal put
116 runs on the board in
32.1 overs. India ‘C’, riding on Arjun swashbuckling
67, chased down the target in just 21.1 overs. Divyaansh Saxena also played a good knock of an unbeaten 52 to fashion his team’s win.
