LACK OF CO-ORDINATION

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Junction, Paradise, Kukatpally, Suchitra, Ramanthapur and Balanagar junction.

A senior GHMC official told this newspaper on condition of anonymity that multiple factors have contributed to the delay of the junction improvement plan. He said that the staff crunch is one of the key issues as several of them were deputed to supervise the SRDP. The corp. itself has partly developed a few junctions since there were no takers for the project. He said that it would not finalise tenders as of now and citizens will have to bear the inconvenience till January 2019 from when work will begin. Shifting utility infrastructure and acquiring land are affecting in the junction improvement plan. GHMC officials claimed that the corporation had not acquired a single property or land since two years.

A GHMC official claimed that the lack of co-ordination between town planning and electricity departments had been delaying the plan. He said that the corporation got consent from a few property owners but electricity officials did not know about shifting of electricity poles to facilitate road widening.

The official claimed that the town planning wing did not even acquired a single chunk of land and single property since a year without which project could not be progressed.

LACK OF co-ordination between town planning and electricity departments had been delaying the plan as per an official.
