NRI under US Immigration department watch made arrangements for Naidu's Dallas visit Vaunted turns wanted: 3 NRIs under scanner

-

There seems to be no end to the controversies surrounding Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to the United States.

The AP police has received certain information about three “self-proclaimed” VIPs present during the tour.

An NRI, on the most wanted list of CBI for many years for having escaped from Visakhapatnam in a share market cheating case, was reportedly present during the tour, according to NRIs. Three persons from an IT companies consortium, located in Dallas, are facing charges with the US government and were also spotted during the tour.

An NRI said: “The chances of the CM knowing these people, are very meagre.” He added that the agency that monitored the CM’s tour was hiding facts.

The Interpol issued a Red Corner Notice on the person accused in the share market cheating case. But the same person went on to found a software company and even sold it to Indian investors. He remained on the board and was recently removed for fraudulent activities, including placing employees in another company’s corporate office in Dallas.

“He happened to play an advisory role during the CM’s tour in Dallas on behalf of an IT companies consortium. He, along with another ‘like-minded’ global advisor, hosted a meeting with a VVIP of Telugu Desam, in Dallas in 2015. The police is now trying to get more details,” the NRI said.

The second “VIP NRI” is a partner in another IT company that was raided by USCIS last week. This company was seized and bank accounts attached along with eight other Telugu IT companies that are part of an IT companies’ consortium. All partners are prohibited from leaving the United States until the investigation and review are completed. These raids were conducted after a six-month secret watch on the companies by the US Immigration department. This second person was one of the key people making arrangements for the CM’s visit to Dallas. He also welcomed the CM at the airport and felicitated him on stage at a public meeting.

The third VIP NRI owns an IT company that was raided and seized by the US Immigration Department for immigration fraud last week. This company was reportedly given space and other IT Subsidies in Amaravati; police has already started investigation.
