POLITICIAN, INSPECTOR HAD 6 AIDES

-

Detective inspector of Thappachabutra, Y. Rajashekhar, and Congress leader Thirumalesh Naidu had six more people working for them to execute the robbery. The Banjara Hills police is now hunting for seven people including the cop, who is suspected to have left the state.

Police sources said Thirumalesh had received information about the arrival of the victim Laxman Agarwal with cash a day before. He and his aides made the plan to rob the cash, and later the inspector also joined as he was a friend of Thirumalesh.

“Thirumalesh’s driver and another person named Mallesh, who promised to mediate the deal for Agarwal, are also suspected to have had a hand. They worked for the cop and the politician to execute the robbery,” said a source.

On the day of the incident, the inspector was on duty and he came to the private guest house in Banjara Hills where they robbed the victim. “The inspector had called Thirumalesh and the call records are the main evidence against him,” said a police source.

After the robbery the suspects were sure that the victim would never go to the police since the cash was unaccounted.

However, police received information through their sources, and they prompted the reluctant victim to file a complaint.

Thirumalesh and Rajashekhar had robbed Laxman Agarwal of `30 lakh. They trapped him in a private guest house on the pretext of exchanging demonetised currency and took away his cash.
