FIVE STAR SHOW BY GOOD FAITH SCHOOL

Good Faith School came up with a five-star performance on the opening day of the Deccan Chronicle inter-schools football tournament here on Monday.

Good Faith pumped in five goals against a hapless Future Kids School, who could just reply with one in a one-sided match. Adil and Shoaib scored a brace each for the winners while Faiz rounded off the tally. For Future Kids, Anees was the lone scorer.

In another match, St Patrick’s High School blanked St Peter’s 3-0. Akshay, Kinsly and Vishal scored for the victors.

The St Patrick’s players were on the ball, dominating possession for most part of the match. Every time they sensed an opportunity, they surged forward keeping the St Peter’s team under pressure.

Bhavan’s Sainikpuri ‘ B’ were the other impressive team. They beat Indus 2-1 to edge ahead. Anirudh and Vimal were the scorers for the winner while Shitij was the lone Indus player on the goal sheet.
