HAIR AND NOW

For the vast majority, it would also be beneficial to add some oil to your hair after washing. A high frequency of wetting/washing hair leads to excess removal of oil. The oil on the surface of hair helps maintain moisture. A monthly hairspa with exfoliatio­n also helps in getting rid of accumulate­d build up.

Styles like an easy twist help keep the hair in place and thus minimise damage. Make a low pony and divide the tail into two sections. Twist them to form a soft chignon or a tight pony tail — Comb hair back into a tight pony at your crown and secure with a clear ponytail elastic. Even a simple French braid is a great hairstyle to sport during exercising. It results in minimum sweat and oil build-up. If you do not wish to braid or twist your hair, it is still possible to exercise with free hair. Simply aim to keep your hair up either by holding it up in a ponytail or a bun, pinning it up or placing it into 1/2 large cornrows/French braids. If your hair shrinks heavily when wet, you may want to consider not wearing it free unless it is short, as knottingan­d-tangling is highly likely to occur. Don’t age your scalp and hair while creating a younger body!
