Sonakshi Sinha-Zaheer Iqbal wedding
SONAKSHI Sinha is all set to marry her boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. Despite no confirmation from either party, their family and friends such as Poonam Dhillon, Yo Yo Honey Singh, and Daisy Shah have confirmed the news. While fans eagerly await for wedding pics, Sonakshi had once revealed that if her father had her way, he would never get her married off!
In a 2021 interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sonakshi shared insights into her family’s views on her marriage. She disclosed, “If it were up to him (Shatrughan
Sinha), he would never want me to get married. Sometimes mom drops the hint that it’s time to get married, but I just give her a look and she says, ‘Okay, okay’ (laughs).”
She expressed gratitude for her family’s support, stating, “I’m glad they’ve given me the independence to decide. Until I’m ready, they won’t pressure me with ‘get married, dear’ because I’m happy with my career and doing well.”
Regarding the recent wedding buzz, Shatrughan Sinha stated to The Times
of India, “I’m neither confirming nor denying the wedding news. Time will tell. She will always have my blessings.” He further added, “Sonakshi is very dear to me. She’s my only daughter and very close. I’m a proud father because she has grown as an actor over the years.”
“If my daughter is getting married, I’ll give her my blessings and support her decision and choice. Sonakshi has the right to choose her companion, and I’ll be the happiest father on her wedding day. I’ll always wish her the best... she’s my only daughter,” Shatrughan said.
