Rain fails to deter vendor

- By WATA SHAW

HEAVY rain and wet conditions did not deter Felichya Kayes from selling at the Suva ROC market yesterday.

She is the proud owner of Aroma Kitchen, a business which specialises in making traditional Indian-style homemade chutney, pickles and dips.

“I started my business in 2019 at the ROC market and since then I have never gone to any other markets,” she said.

Ms Kayes said despite the heavy downpour, she was able to sell her products. “Our loyal customers, they still came down to buy and we made some money,” she said.

“At the end of the day, it was all good and I sold out on a few of my products, which I was grateful for.”

All products are 100 per cent vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian and also sugarfree made from locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables mixed with traditional spices, dates, sultana to name a few.

You can find Ms Kayes at the Suva ROC Market, on Facebook under ‘Aroma Kitchen Fiji’ or call 9962927 to place orders.
