Rayalu: Expect changes to happen
AGRICULTURE and Waterways Minister Vatimi Rayalu told his staff members at the ministry that they could expect changes to happen in the ministry over the next few weeks.
During his welcome ceremony at the headquarters on Wednesday, he said when a new government comes in, people must expect changes.
“I have met the divisions over the last few days and I have not wasted any time in meeting with the functional divisions within the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Waterways,” Mr Rayalu said.
“I have been impressed with the presentation works.
“But let me tell you, expect changes that will come in over the next few weeks.
“When a new government comes in, we must expect changes; changes in the way we do things, changes in the way we interact with each other.”
Mr Rayalu said the new Government recognises the freedom of every individual.
“My message to each and everyone of you who is a leader in this ministry, if you are an oppressive leader, I will meet you.
“Be good to your workers, be good to the people that serve under you because these are the people who will carry the load of the work that you set them to do.
“They are the ones who will produce the results for you.
“So be good to them.
“And my message to those of you who work under these leaders, if there is any sign of oppression or bullying, come direct to my office and tell me.
“Over the next few weeks, I will be coming around to meet the staff when I have time to talk to you on a personal level. “Feel free to talk to your minister.” Mr Rayalu said he wanted to nurture the culture of trust in his staff members.
