Executive Changes?
New president for Netball Fiji after 8-year term ends soon AGM next month will also decide on new national coach
Netball Fiji can expect to see new executives and national coach take over after next month’s annual general meeting. No date for the AGM has been confirmed yet, says current president Wainikiti Bogidrau.
Bogidrau has been president of Netball Fiji for the past eight years (four years per term).
“Netball Fiji has called for fresh nominations for all positions from president, vice-presidents (3 positions – Administration, Technical and Development), secretary, assistant secretary, treasurer and committee (5 members).”
As to the new national coach, Bogidrau said the position of national netball coach to replace Vicki Wilson, had been advertised. Wilson, an Australian national coach and retired international player, was appointed Netball Fiji coach in 2016.
“Netball Fiji hopes that we will receive quality applications when nominations close at the end of this month,” Bogidrau said.
“The final decision of who becomes the coach will be made by the new executives of Netball Fiji.”
