Blast from the past revisited

I totally agree with Savenaca Vakaliwaliwa that people were misled into voting for a “blast from the past” after being lied to and misrepresented about iTaukei land insecurities.
Other contributing factors may have been lies about a Chinese and Muslim invasion, the debt owed to China and the takeover of Kadavu.
My point is, as is Savenaca’s, people freely chose, as is their democratic right, to be blind, deaf and plain dumb in making their choice to vote for the Opposition.
I had expected significantly less than 39 per cent of the voters to make that choice. My mistake.
I still maintain that it is difficult to trust people who speak to God. You see, God can make mistakes on occasion. Case in point is the instruction from God to Rabuka to carry out the events of 1987. Rabuka tells us now that it was a mistake. It follows that God made a mistake, not Rabuka.
The current election result, it appears, is also God’s fault as He did not provide the result that some have been seeing visions and dreams and was prophesied to people who speak to Him.
It will now all happen in God’s time we are told. There is a real anticipation by the blind, deaf and dumb that the election result will be overturned soon.
So what message does one get about people who talk to Him?
My point is, God does not give two cahoots about the politics of Fiji, however much you talk to Him.
Nothing is achieved by being emotional about it.
