Last night marked the strengthening of partnership between Jack’s of Fiji and the Nadi Rugby Union. Their strategic alliance on the naming rightsJack’s Nadi Rugby- started in 2013 making 2018 the sixth year of their association.

The partnership has resulted in cash donations, in-kind contribution and provision of apparel and accessories worth $70,000.

Jack’s of Fiji Group of Companies chief executive Bhavin Khatri said, “Our support both onand-off the field from the premier grade right down to the youth teams has contributed enormously to the growth and development of the team and the sport in Nadi.”

He said this has helped Nadi Rugby to achieve their set of objectives.

“We have noted the increasing participation and interest of women in rugby and it is our duty to work with Nadi Rugby to further develop and encourage the participation of women in this sport.

“Thus, to align the inclusion and participation of women in the sport of rugby, we are also supporting the development of the Nadi Women’s rugby team,” he added.

NRU sponsorship chairman Sekove Tuilakeba said, “This partnership will boost our confidence and help us to bring the past glory and this will start from the game against Nadroga at our very home ground tomorrow.

“We are confident that the team is preparing well for the 2018 rugby season and will be aiming to produce some outstanding results that we have set in the past. The team is to take us back to the glory days that we are known for.”

Last year Nadi bowed out to Suva in the semifinal of the Skipper Cup competition at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.
