Sir,

Praying without repentance is useless. Ask Eswatini, she is experiencing this. God Almighty is not and shall never ever be a fool. I pity the so-called church leaders who keep calling for prayers for Eswatini to have peace. They forget that the country is where it is today because of their unbelief.

How can we, as church leaders, continue to divide the Lord’s church and expect the country to be united? The church is God’s government on earth; the church is God Almighty himself. But we, the so-called church leaders, have and continue to defy God’s instructions concerning His church. A house divided against itself can never stand. We are misleading the masses and that is why everyone seems confused and living in fear nowadays.

Truth

Only the truth sets a nation free. That nation is one that has only the Almighty as its God. Eswatini is currently preached upon by hypocrites from both within and outside her borders. We preach this and do that as our actions do not match our words. I know some of you hate me already for all I have been writing, but I don’t have a problem with that because all I have been writing I can stand for. I wrote what the Lord gave me to write.

For years now I have been warning that Eswatini is headed for self-destruction. Many have reprimanded me for my writings in the past but look where the kingdom is today and judge me and my writings. Two years ago I wrote about these uprisings not because I wanted them to happen, but because the Lord warned me about them. I even warned the late prime minister and later after his death I sent the same warnings to his deputy numerous times. They both didn’t listen.

Education

In Eswatini today education has become useless; Parliament has always been useless, but today it is worse than the word itself. Hospitals and health centres are without adequate medication and staff. The staff is always picketing seeking salary adjustments.

How can anyone in their right senses trust them to take good care of patients after all that government puts them through? It’s a pity that top government officials claim to be Christians, yet their actions speak differently. All government spokespersons, past and present, have and continue to take citizens for granted. They speak against the citizens instead of hearing them out and taking their messages and complaints into consideration before uttering their government-based defence statements that turn out to set the country on fire. Anyway the church is to blame for all this mess. All people belong in the church; leaders and followers alike. Unless we change and start serving and following our Lord God seriously, Eswatini will remain doomed.

Preparations

In our communities many teenage girls are with children as a result of sitting idle at home because of the many unplanned school closures that happened during the COVID-19 pandemic. All these could have been avoided had we given our ear to our Lord. The uprisings came about due to lack of preparations and sensible intentional programmes for youth development. All these the Lord revealed beforehand, but who took heed to his warnings? Once he sends a warning He doesn’t expect us to pray about it only but He wants us to change our ways too.

2 Chronicles 7:13-15 says; “If I shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or if I command locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence and plague among my people, and my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear (them) from Heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to prayer offered in this place (prayer alone doesn’t do it but prayer and repentance does it).

Pastor Vusi Barry Mkhonta

Sir,

There is no perfect family. We do not have perfect parents and you are not perfect yourself.

We do not marry a perfect person or we do not have perfect children. We complain about each other and we cannot live together without offending one another.

We are constantly disappointed. Yes, for so many reasons at different times we are disappointed by one another.

There is no healthy marriage or healthy family without the exercise of forgiveness. Forgiveness is the medicine for family joy and happiness.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is vital to our emotional health and spiritual survival; no matter the offence or who is the offender. Without forgiveness, the family becomes an arena of conflict and a fortress of evil.

Without forgiveness, the family becomes sick and unhealthy.

Forgiveness is the asepsis of the soul, the purification of the spirit and the liberation of the heart. No sin is too big to be forgiven. He who does not forgive does not have peace in his soul and cannot have communion with God.

Not forgiving is evil and a poison that intoxicates and kills the one who refuses to forgive. Keeping heartache of unforgiving in your heart is a self-destructive gesture; it’s autophagy.

Those who do not forgive are physically, emotionally and spiritually ill; and they will suffer in two ways. For this reason, the family must be a place of life and not a place of death; a place of forgiveness, a place of paradise and not a place of hell; a healing territory and not a disease; an internship of forgiveness and not guilt.

Forgiveness brings joy where sorrow has brought sadness; healing where sorrow has caused disease. A family is a place of support and not of gossip and slander of one another.

It must be a place of welcome not a place of rejection; shame on those who plant evil about others. We are family and not enemies. When anyone is going through a challenge all they need is support.
