Mbabane - MTN iPraise announced the Top 10 artists who have been selected through public nominations yesterday.

Five of these 10 artists stand a chance of performing at this year’s MTN iPraise Gospel Music Festival which is set to take place on October 1 this year at Mavuso Trade Centre in Manzini. Over 10 000 Ayoba nominations were recorded and 8 000 SMS votes were recorded. The Top 10 list, chosen solely through nominations from Gospel music fans, is as follows:

The public can now vote for their Top 5 artists for free on Ayoba, MTN’s fastest growing social media platform, by sending the artists code to 7888 6161 or by dialing *7768#, selecting option 1 and entering the artists code at a cost of E1. Ayoba is free and counts for two votes while SMS costs E1 per vote and only counts as one vote. Artists names will no longer count as valid votes. Voting lines close on August 28 this year.

Perform

In addition to the top five who will be voted in to perform on this year’s stage, five artists have already been selected by the organisers for this year’s line-up. Festival goers can look forward to watching Nigerian singer Sinach.

She will be joined by South African artists Sindi Ntombela and Ayanda Ntazi. The local artists who will be joining them on stage are Nduduzo Matse and Nothando Hlophe. Gospel music lovers can buy tickets at any MTN outlet nationwide, online at www.mojaticket.com or on MTN MoMo Marketplace using 7830 5330. A general ticket will cost E300 pre-sale and E350 at the gate. Golden Circle will cost E450 pre-sale and E500 at the gate.

Tammy Dlamini, Project Manager of MTN iPraise, encouraged the public to continue supporting the MTN iPraise Top 10 voting phase as much as they supported the nomination phase.“We saw overwhelming support during the nomination phase. Every Ayoba vote not only equals two votes, but each voter stands a chance of winning prizes on the app as well as enjoying regular updates on the event leading up to October 1.
