Nasty C

Nsikayesiz­we David Junior Ngcobo (born 11 February 1997), known profession­ally as Nasty C, is a South African rapper, songwriter, and record producer.

After releasing three mixtapes, one being ‘Undisputed’ and two EPs, Ngcobo released his debut album Bad Hair (2016), and Strings and Bling (2018), which was associated and supported by his first tour, The Ivyson Tour.

He was the youngest recipient of an award at the 2015 South African Hip Hop Awards, namely the Best Freshman Award.

In March 2020, Nasty C signed a joint venture deal with Def Jam Records, and released his United States official single after joining Def Jam, ‘There They Go’, which gained him global recognitio­n, he then released his third album on 28 August 2020, and his first on the label which is titled Zulu Man with Some Power (2020). In November 2020, Nasty C won Best Male Rap Act award at African Muzik Magazine Awards 2020 ceremony. In December 2020, he was ranked third in the MTV Base: SA’s Hottest MCs list, his fifth time in a row to appear on that list.

In June 2021, he released a single titled “Best I Ever Had”. At 6th ceremony of All Africa Music Awards, he received three nomination­s for Songwriter of the Year, Best Male Artist in Southern Africa and Best African Rapper/Lyricist. He was ranked third again in the 2021 MTV Base: SA’s Hottest MCs list, his sixth time in a row on that list.

Sun-El Musician

Sanele Sithole (born 28 March 1989), known profession­ally as Sun-El Musician, is a South African disc jockey, music producer, and songwriter. Born and raised in Mooi River. He attended University of KwaZulu-Natal but dropped out to purse a career in music. His debut studio album Africa to the World (2018), which was certified gold by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA).

He was a producer for Demor Music before the establishm­ent of his own record label EL World Music. His most recent album African Electronic Dance Music was released in October 2021.

Shortly after he left school Sithole spent two years at home and began his musical career in 2007 remixing songs and create mixtapes. Sithole meet Demor Skhosana, who signed him under his record label Demor Music, worked as music producer for five years. He worked in the studio with Bucie in 2011 and 2014, and during this period, he produced three albums for Demor.

Sithole then began to create his own music under the name Sun-El Musician. His debut single ‘Akanamali’ reached No.1 on Shazam in 2016. In early 2017 he establishe­d EL World Music. His debut album Africa to the World was released on April

20, 2018. The singles ‘Sonini’, ‘Bamthathil­e’, and ‘Ntab’Ezikude’ all received platinum certificat­ions from the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA)

In June 2018, his single ‘Akanamali’ earned him three awards at the 24th South African Music Awards, including Best Collaborat­ion, Highest Airplay Song and Highest Airplay Composer.

Africa to the World was also nominated at the 25th South African Music Awards in June 2019, and was certified gold by RISA the following year.

Also in 2019, Sithole embarked on an extensive tour of South Africa. The single ‘Into Ingawe’, featuring Ami Faku, was certified platinum by RISA. His second studio album To the World & Beyond was released in December 4, 2020. The single ‘Ubomi Abumanga’ featured Msaki.

In April 2021, Sithole released album’s lead single ‘Uhuru’ with South African singer Azana. A live recording titled Kunye Live Mix was released in August 2021. His third studio album African Electronic Dance Music was released on 29 October 2021 in South Africa.

The previous day, Sithole headlined the Basha Uhuru Creative Uprising Festival alongside Langa Mavuso.

In December 2021, Sithole was chosen by Gallo Records to work on classic songs remix on the Extended Play titled Music is Forever along with Nobuhle, Muzi, and other artists

DBN Gogo

Born May 30, 1993 DBN Gogo, whose real name is Mandisa Radebe (uMaka Mah), strives relentless­ly to carve a niche for herself in the South African entertainm­ent industry.

Without a doubt, DBN Gogo is very good at what she does. She is a perfect disc jockey. She also combines as a prolific entertaine­r, record producer, hype lady, singer and songwriter

DBN Gogo has found pleasure and joy in DJ, and she has been in the industry for some years now. She is still very new in the industry. According to her, she has always wanted to become a disc jockey for a long time.

DBN Gogo also describes herself as a lady with musical ambitions. Sheo used to ‘play the piano, sing, and dance while she was a teenage, and she is master of the art in all the skills as mentioned above’.

She also said DJ was her calling because it found her and not the other way around.

DBN Gogo is famous for performing in different varieties of House music, such as Gqom.

She once revealed that her career as DJ has affected many parts of her life because she couldn’t get all the needed supports she wanted from her family. Due to her family status, they had issues supporting her musical dreams.

Within a short time, DBN Gogo has establishe­d herself as one of the most sought-after DJs in

South Africa.
