MBABANE – It’s a Christmas tournament in that the team to win the E4 000 grand prize will certainly have a merry one.

Winning clubs usually share a certain portion of their prize monies as pool clubs consist of an average eight players.

Exactly eight clubs remain after the tournament kicked off last weekend at the Mbabane Theatre Club with the eliminatio­ns stage. It is all coming to an end tomorrow at the same venue with giant clubs still in it for the main prize.

Way Inn, who boast champion of champions Zweli ‘Siziba’ Dlamini and BOAB National Championsh­ip Play-offs Last 16 finisher Xolani Mbingo, have a date with MRPA fellow rivals, Manzini Pool Club (MPC) Masters while Correction­al Services, who have the country’s once-ranked pool star Flag Nxumalo, take on Malkerns who also play in same league as them under MRPA while MPC take on Martins from Ezulwini.

The latter ply their trade under the Hhohho Regional Pool Associatio­n (HRPA) league in the Mbabane Zone. The second prize here is E2 000, third and fourth prizes is E1 000. It will also not be a dry spell for teams placed fifth to eighth as they will each receive E500 which shows a E300 gain from the E200 registrati­on fee. Games are expected to start as early 10am as the semi-finals and finals will also be played tomorrow.
