Sense of purpose has been lost

Sir,

The source of our problems in this world, including the misunderstanding and the mistreatment of women, is that we have lost our understanding of what it means to be human as God created us. We have lost our sense of purpose.

I am convinced that in every country in the world both men and women are suffering from this ignorance of purpose.

The best t hing f or us t o do i s t o discover and live in the original plan of the one who created humanity.

Only then will we learn the inherent rights of women and men, so t hat both female and male can live in freedom and fulfilment. These are words that were said by a famous pastor.

God made men and women equal, unique and complementary in design. A woman’s position and r i ghts i n society are God- given and inherent. Their rights are not necessarily given to them by men but by God who created them.

Culture

Culture and traditions of men have greatly distorted this over a period of many years.

The t raditions of men and stereotypes have devalued women and prevented them from living in the fullness of who they really are.

Men and women, though different in design and purpose, were created equal, and are truly equal in essence. The universal negative perceptions and devaluing of women in society can be st opped, I believe by both men and women dismantling belief systems, culture and traditions that belittle women.

Howev e r, t h e f i r s t b a t t l e f r o n t should be for us women to discover and embrace our identity, purpose and design. The fact that women are uniquely different from men, does not make them inferior, but rather special in design for specific unique functions in society.

As women, we must know and believe that we are equal to men, even before any Cabinet or Parliament could legislate that.

Define

Just because women have a different biological and emotional makeup, no one has the right to define that as being inferior or weak.

Actually that is what makes them uniquely valuable in society. Most men would not have achieved what they accomplished if it were not for a wife, sister or a grandmother in their lives. Women are great inspirers in society. Women are life givers and incubators of greatness.
