Major English competition comes to Hangzhou
The finals of the “21st Century Cup” National English Speaking Competition will be held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center in Zhejiang province from Friday to Sunday. As one of the largest of its kind in China, the national competition attracted more than 1 million student participants last year.

The 17th Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival has started accepting submissions worldwide. The festival will be held from Dec 9 to 12 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, and the deadline for applications is Aug 31. It has been held annually since 2003. Death raises concern over online health products
The sudden death of a Beijing woman who had been taking healthcare products from Nu Skin, a direct-selling company, to treat symptoms of fever has raised questions about the direct-sales industry.
