Pair of Titans crack NBL all-star squads
Two K-W Titans players were named to National Basketball League of Canada all-star teams Monday.
Power forward Derek Hall earned a third-team all-star nod while guard/forward Tramar Sutherland, of Toronto, cracked the league’s first-team all-Canadian squad.
Hall led the league with 11.6 rebounds per game and was fourth overall with a 57.6 shooting percentage.
Sutherland had 520 points in 40 games, which ranked second on the Titans.
Other all-stars included: First-team: Carl English
(St. John’s), Terry Thomas (Moncton), Billy White (Halifax), Royce White (London) and Garrett Williamson (London). Second-team: Charles Hinkle (St. John’s), Antoine Mason (Halifax), Bruce Massey (Cape Breton), Du’Vaughn Maxwell (P.E.I.) and Franklin Session (P.E.I.).
Third-team: Hall (K-W), Doug Herring Jr. (London), Maurice Jones (Windsor), Malcolm Miller (Saint John) and Jaylon Tate (Niagara).
All-defence: Rhamel Brown (Halifax), Jones (Windsor), Maxwell (P.E.I.), Samuel Muldrow (Niagara) and Williamson (London).
All-rookie: Jeremiah Mordi (Saint John), Braylon Rayson (Windsor), Jamal Reynolds (Cape Breton), Kemy Osse (P.E.I.) and Tate (Niagara).
All-playoff: Maurice Boldon (London), English (St. John’s), Herring Jr. (London), Hinkle (St. John’s), Jones (Windsor), Mason (Halifax), Miller (Saint John), Osse (P.E.I.), Juan Pattillo (Moncton), Tate (Niagara), Thomas (Moncton), Tyrone Watson (Halifax), White (Halifax) and Williamson (London). All-Canadian first team:
