SARA WAISGLASS

Currently Graduated from York University (screenwrit­ing). Shooting a second season of “Ginny & Georgia” on Netflix.

On “Degrassi Next Class” being cancelled “I never got to graduate on the show. So that was painful. They never told us anything. We had our contracts and the way it worked was they had to tell you by a certain date if we were picked up or not. We just never heard from them again.”

STACIE MISTYSYN

Currently Runs Stronger With Stacie coaching and fitness programs as a certified fitness and healthy-eating specialist.

On the “Degrassi” legacy “It was known as the show that went there. There’s an issue? Let’s address it and confront it head on.”

Currently Focusing on music and studying cinema studies at the University of Toronto.

On “Degrassi: Next Class” being cancelled “I always lived with a tinge of regret that my cast closed the show. I was living with that for a while.”

On the new spinoff “I think now everyone expects it to be explicit because teen shows are becoming more and more explicit. What was controvers­ial or was shocking a year ago is now what we expect.”

Currently Certified yoga instructor and real estate agent.

On the legacy of “Degrassi”

“I think the legacy of ‘Degrassi’ is being a voice for the kinds out there who are going through hard times, who don’t know where to turn, and who feel alone. I think the legacy of “Degrassi” is being a friend to those kids.”
