Lots of Ways to Celebrate the Season

- Julie Lawlor Executive Director, WestShore Chamber of Commerce

While holiday celebrations this year still need to include plenty of hand sanitizer, maskwearing and physical distancing, the good news is that we can have holiday celebrations! For example, Santa is back at the Westshore Town Centre! At the time of writing there are still spaces available from December 22-24th. If you missed out this year - or didn’t realise that you could have had pet photos with Santa! – you can be first in line next time by signing up for the Westshore Town Centre newsletter at westshoretowncentre.com

Businesses at the Centre and across Langford have extended shopping hours and safety protocols in place so you can enjoy your holiday shopping experience. In addition to the pandemic, many businesses have been managing the impacts of labour shortages and rising costs, and very much appreciate the fact that you are shopping local. If you are looking for inspiration, you can check out our Member Directory or our list of Best of the WestShore Awards winners and finalists at westshore.bc.ca

One of my favourite parts of December is all of the lights. The City of Langford has published a map so that you can do your very own Christmas Light Tour around Langford – there are beautiful public and residential light displays all across the city. You can also walk through a tinsel tunnel until January 1st or take part in outdoor ice skating. To find out more, go to langford. ca and click on the Christmas tree icon.

However you are celebrating, all of us at the WestShore Chamber of Commerce wish you a safe and happy holiday season. See you in 2022!
