This year’s new focus is women who want to develop and produce their first scripted web series. Five projects will be selected to participate in this development program. The five chosen winners are given full delegate pass to the festival’s screenings and film industry forum. They are also matched with leading industry experts from across Canada for one-on-one consultations and meetings to further develop their projects, including Andra Sheffer from the Independent Production Fund. At the end of the week, winners are given the opportunity to pitch their projects to producers and organizations at the Face 2 Face Pitch Session. Other perks and prizes include a $1,000 gear rental certificate from Sim International for each winner to help make their series a reality.
