2015 Sienna gets new features, slight redesign

- BY CHARLES JOLICOEUR AUTOGO.CA

Toyota unveiled a slightly revamped version of its Sienna minivan by releasing three videos over the internet just recently.

Cosmetic changes to the Sienna are minor, but they still make it possible to differentiate the 2015 edition of the popular minivan thanks to a redesigned grille and modified headlights, among other things. That being said, it is inside that most of the modifications regarding the 2015 Sienna are found.

The primary purpose of the Sienna is obviously to be a family car, and several new features have been added to the minivan for the 2015 model year in order to facilitate the interaction between parents and children sitting in the back.

We notice for example the introduction of the Driver Speak Easy feature which amplifies the voice of the driver through the rear speakers and thus avoids having to shout in order to communicate with the vehicle’s passengers. A mirror has also been added in front to allow parents to keep an eye on the children in the back.

The 2015 Sienna will also come standard with a rearview camera and 8 airbags. Four LATCH mounting systems for children seats are also included.

Under the hood, it’s the status quo as the same 3.5-liter V6 engine that powers the 2014 model should also see action in the 2015 Sienna.
