Jean Alice Wilson (nee Buchannon) Sunrise October 19th, 1935. Fred and Greta Buchannon welcomed their third child that morning on their farm in the Dauphin area of Manitoba. Jean went to school with her brother Dean and sister Beryl. Joan was born five years later and Jean became her big sister for life. After finishing school, Jean worked at Canadian Forces Base, Shilo, Manitoba. She then moved to Vancouver where she started working at Burns Meats. There she met a young redheaded fellow named George Wilson, who later became her husband. George and Jean had one child... a son Bradley. Later on, Jean enjoyed a very successful career at Block Brothers Real Estate, and Public Services Canada before retiring. Jean is survived by her Granddaughter Lisa Haller and her loving and caring grandson Brandon who was the apple of her eye. Jean was predeceased by her parents, husband George, son Bradley, sister Beryl and niece Dana. Jean will be greatly missed by her brother Dean, sister Joan, and her husband Bryce, who were devoted to her and who were very loved by Jean. Jean was also loved and adored by many other family members, Dean's sons Darren, Dan, Ron and their families, Beryl's daughter Lynn and her family, Joans daughter Kelly and her family, and by the entire Wilson family. She will be sadly missed by her very special dear friends and caregivers Brett and Lynda Murray, and her very good friend and neighbour Ann Purdy... (who would all enjoy going off to the Villa for a lunch and some fun and games). Jean felt extremely lucky to have such wonderful friends and neighbours where she lived for many, many years in South Burnaby on Boundary Road. She also appreciated all of the nice and kind friends at the Mulberry Parc Care Facility. Besides her love of family and friends, fishing, and her beautiful garden, Jean was a true-blue Canuck fan and we all know that she is happily cheering them on loud and proud! Sunset April 8th, 2024. No service by request, Donations can be made to a charity of your choosing on behalf of Jean.
