MANTLER, Kent Trevor Peter

December 31, 1983 - February 20, 2024

-

Tragically, Kent passed away in a motor vehicle accident on February 20, 2024, near New Denver BC.

Born in Vancouver BC, the fourth child of six, and moving to Burnaby at a young age, Kent attended 12th Avenue Elementary School in Burnaby, and New Westminster Secondary.

As a young man - his kind and generous heart touched many lives.

His skills as a vehicle mechanic led him to Alberta and Saskatchewan and eventually back to the interior of BC before a workplace accident sidelined him, and he moved back to the lower mainland of BC.

In his spare time, Kent enjoyed the outdoors, and was also an excellent cook. He loved being the jokester, had a great sense of humor and amused his friends and family with his antics. He enjoyed singing at karaoke and had a beautiful voice. His family misses him greatly.

Survived by his mother, Diana Meier Mantler Harris, father, Peter Mantler, Siblings, Danella Mantler Roddick, Julianne Mantler, Mark Mantler (wife Heather), Corrina Mantler Joyce ( husband Chris),Reannan Mantler, Nieces, Sorcha Leah, Makaila, Sophia, and Ciara, nephew Devon, great nephew Noah. Also survived by his Opa, Kurt Meier, Aunts, Hilda Mantler, Monica Carter, Cara Schulz and his uncle Norbert Meier, as well as several cousins and relatives in Canada and Germany.

Additional thanks to the Vancouver Police Department and the Chilliwack RCMP for all their efforts when he was listed as a missing person. We will be forever grateful for all of your help.

In lieu of flowers, donations to New Denver Fire and Rescue, Kaslo Search and Rescue, or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

There are no words to heal our pain - A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on 2024-05-31 at St Markus Church, 1573 East 18 Avenue Vancouver.
