WALSH, Joseph Laurier

Aug. 31, 1960 - Aug. 5, 2020

-

Joe passed away peacefully on August 5th after a courageous battle with cancer. He was raised in White Rock where he attended Semiahmoo high school. His professional occupations included casinos and wholesale vehicle export. There were far too many important people, places and experiences in Joe's life to attempt to include them all here. However, Joe cherished the memories and valued the life lessons from all of these times and he enjoyed sharing his stories.

Above all else, Joe was a dedicated father whose love and commitment to his family knew no bounds. Joe is survived by his wife Carolyn, son Cameron, daughter Cassandra (Sean), grandchildren Oliver and Marceline, sister Mary-Jane (Harvey), Aunt Dale and extended family.

Joe was a much respected member of the Mid-Valley Group for more than 20 years, he had a deep gratitude for the many blessings brought into his life through this Fellowship. Joe was known for his exceptional mathematical ability, steel trap memory, wry humour, and commitment to telling the truth. He was a trusted friend to go to when seeking wise counsel to many. Most of all Joe will be remembered for his big heart and how he let that show in his words and his actions.

Joe will be interred at the Brandon Municipal Cemetery in Brandon, Manitoba where his mother, Grace, and many other family members are at rest. There will be a graveside service for family at this time. To honour Joe's expressed wishes there will not be a funeral.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to BC Cancer Foundation or the BC Centre for Palliative Care. For those in the Fellowship, contributions to your service entities would also be in keeping with Joe's wishes.
