From Prince George provincial court, Sept. 26-30, 2016: • Jeffrey Kyle Desmarais (born 1989) was sentenced to six days in jail for mischief $5,000 or under, to five days in jail for a separate count of mischief $5,000 or under, to three days in jail for causing a disturbance and to one day in jail for breach of an undertaking or recognizance.
Desmarais was also sentenced to 18 months probation and assessed $400 in victim surcharges.
Desmarais had spent two days in custody prior to sentencing. • Trina Joy Faust (born 1978) was sentenced to 27 days in jail and possession of stolen property under $5,000, committed in Prince George, and to one day in jail for theft $5,000 or under, committed in West Kelowna.
Faust was also sentenced to one year probation and assessed $200 in victim surcharges. Faust was in custody for two days prior to sentencing. • Kayla Rebecca Martinsen (born 1987) was issued a six-month recognizance after allegation for causing fear of injury or damage. • Ryan Alan Martiinsen (born 1985) was issued a six-month recognizance after allegation for causing fear of injury or damage. • Randy Dain Vipond (born 1962) was issued a one-year recognizance after allegation for causing fear of injury or damage. • George Lewis Olsen (born 1970) was assessed a $100 victim surcharge for breach of an undertaking or recognizance. Olsen was in custody for five days prior to sentencing. • Lane Steven Peepchuk (born 1974) was sentenced to 60 days in jail for criminal harassment and breach of an undertaking or recognizance committed in Prince George, and breach of an undertaking or recognizance committed in Two Mile, and to 15 days in jail for breach of an undertaking or recognizance, committed in Hazelton.
Peepchuk was also issued a lifetime firearms prohibition and assessed $500 in victim surcharges.
