Quebec going for gold in Senior Triples Lawn Bowling
Quebec will compete for the gold medal in both the men’s and women’s final at the Canadian Senior Triples Lawn Bowling Championship on Wednesday at the Peterborough Lawn Bowling Club.
Following the final round of play on Tuesday, Quebec sat in first place for the men with an 8-1 record and led the women’s division with a 6-3 mark as well. The men will face Nova Scotia who finished 6-3-0 while the women will meet Manitoba who finished 5-3-1 and won a tie-breaker to secure their spot in the final.
Lakefield’s Rick Tompkins and his Ontario B rink placed eighth at 3-5-1 tied with Alberta who featured Peterborough’s Andy Caldwell as an injury replacement.
Ontario A will play New Brunswick for the men’s bronze medal. Ontario B will face Nova Scotia for the women’s bronze. Action kicks off at 9 a.m.
