Fairhaven seeks youth volunteers for summer volunteer program
Fairhaven is looking for teens to participate in this year’s Summer Volunteer Program. Students between the ages of 13-18 are invited to volunteer during July and August.
“This is an excellent opportunity for teens to work with people of all ages, enhance their leadership skills, gain valuable experience for their resumes and even complete the 40 hours of community involvement required to obtain their secondary school diploma,” says Rhonda Lustic, Fairhaven’s programs and volunteer manager.
Available positions include working in the café, assisting the hairdresser or physiotherapist, entertainment programs, special events and outings, gardening, visiting residents and assisting with recreational activities.
Volunteers must commit to a minimum of two or three shifts (four to six hours) each week, however flexibility is allowed.
Interested students should print the application package found at www.fairhavenltc.com or pick one up at Fairhaven’s Reception Desk, 881 Dutton Road.
Applications must be returned by Friday, June 16. For further information contact Lustic at 705-743-0881, ext. 248, or by email at rlustic@fairhavenltc.com
