Farmers’ Market returns on Friday

the second Farmers’ Market of the season will be held this Friday June 28 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the corners of Third Street and Heritage Line in Keene. Historical Society: The OSM Historical Society has another exciting talk lined up for Tuesday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m. Kathryn Campbell will be the guest speaker giving an illustrated talk on "1880's Otonabee-Asphodel Diaries" to show how personal diaries, when read together, are a rich source of historical data that brings to life our ancestors' pioneer experiences. Everyone is welcome. The Historical Society meets in their historical room located in the Gayle Nelson Public Library in Keene.

The OSM Public Library will hold a themed reading camp in July and would like to borrow some memorabilia from local fans. If you have any items you would like to lend please call Carolanne at 705-2956814. The camp is scheduled for Wednesdays in July (10, 17 and 24) for a fee of $2 per child. If your child would like to take part please register on or before June 20. Church News: BailieboroSpringville United Church will worship with the Centreville Presbyterian Church at the corner of County Road 28 and Zion Line in South Monaghan for the months of July and August. Service begins at 9:15 a.m. Bingo: Every Wednesday evening the Keene Lions Club holds Bingo in the Gold Room of the Keene Community Centre.The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the games begin at 7 p.m. Proceeds raised fund community projects. There is always a generous jackpot so come on out and see how lucky you are!
