HARTT, Marlene Elizabeth

-

On July 21, 2024, our world lost a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend following the death of Marlene Elizabeth Hartt at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, PE. Born October 25, 1936, in Marysville, NB, to Mary and Joseph White, Marlene came from a long line of the faithful who lived a God centred life. The examples and teachings of this family led Marlene to be God’s ambassador on earth. Her life was defined by deep faith and an enormous heart. Her chosen careers of nursing and childcare reflected this, but was more importantly reflected in her personal life where she served with God’s love her family, friends and those in need – from the less fortunate living on her street, to the acquaintance who was going through tough times and needed a hand up. Left behind to mourn her are her children, Norman Hartt, Shelley (Terry) Curley, and Randy Hartt (Sue Bulman); her grandchildren, Jody (Chris) Howard, Derrick (Katelyn) Curley, Kassia Curley (Chee Ng), Colton Curley (Julia Skinner), Meagan Hartt (Matt Chamberlain), and Tyler Hartt; her great-grandchildren, Avery Howard, Ethan Howard, Niall Curley, and Bria Curley; her daughter by choice, Ivy (Steve) Band; and sister of her heart, Sharon (Al) James. At her “Welcome Home” party in heaven was her beloved husband and love of her life, Reg Hartt; her parents, Mary and Joseph White; her brother, Jerry White; her son, Kenny Hartt; as well as other family and many well-loved friends. The celebration of her life will be held at Faith Bible Church on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Online condolences can be made through www.islandowned.ca
