The death occurred at the Maplewood Manor, with her loving family by her side, on October 11, 2021, of Anne Marie McRae (nee Arsenault), beloved wife of the late Kenneth McRae, of Tignish, age 89 years. Born in Tignish on July 21, 1932, the daughter of Ralph and Katie (Buote) Arsenault of Tignish. Loving mother to Glen (Janie) McRae, Cathy (Phil) Hansen, Ron (Irma) McRae, Susan (Dwight) MacDonald, Rev. Fr. Ralph McRae and Kenny (Lois) McRae. Cherished grandmothe­r to Mark (Kimberley) Hansen, Melanie (Jason) Woycheshyn, Angela Hansen, Brian (Samantha) Hansen, Justin (James Sobey) McRae, Vanessa McRae, Jenna McRae, Nicholas McRae, Luke (Stephanie) MacDonald, Andrew MacDonald, Connor (Brittany) McRae, Emily (Kristian) Bernard and Bailey (Denis Arsenault) McRae. Great-grandmothe­r to Rae (Jake) Graves, Quinn Hansen, Natalyia, Damian, Lesya and Anya Woycheshyn, Solveij Hansen, Amelia and Lily MacDonald and Jed and Joe Bernard. Great-great-grandmothe­r to Adelaide and Celeste Graves. Survived by her sisters, Carmella (late Harold) McRae, Florence (Bill) Gardener and her brother-inlaw, Seymour (Mary) McRae. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her husband Kenneth, she was predecease­d by her son, Dr. Donald (Michel Arpin) McRae, her brother Valmore (late Irene) Arsenault, her brothers and sister-in-law, Chester (late Vie) McRae, Cora (late Glen) Caldwell, Earl Jr. (late Esther) McRae, and her good friend Laura Arsenault. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for a private visitation Thursday, October 14, 2021, (family and invited guests only) from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Friday morning, October 15th (for family invited guests) from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Molina, Celebrant and Rev. Ralph McRae, Concelebra­nt. Interment in the St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the St. Simon and St. Jude Building Fund would be gratefully appreciate­d. Please be advised that Proof and Vaccinatio­n will be needed to attend the visitation and visitors are asked to enter by the Chapel entrance.
