• Bring your own lawn chair to the amphitheat­re in Memorial Park by the Johnson-Bentley pool for a free concert from 6:40 to 9 p.m. as part of the weekly Music in the Park program. Musicians include Swamp Honey playing funk and rhythm and blues and Impulse Response performing soul and rhythm and blues.

• Family Playtime at the Webber Road Community Centre at 2829 Inverness Rd. from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children newborn to five years with a parent or caregiver. • The Westbank Farmers' Market is open from 9 a.m. To 2 p.m. in the Westridge Shopping Centre, on the corner of Main Street and Elliott Road in downtown Westbank. Free entertainm­ent. • Marty Edwards performs at the Peachland Rotary Peace Concert at the Rotary Pavilion in Heritage Park in Peachland. Food kiosk opens at 3 p.m. Music at 4 p.m. Bring your lawn chair or a blanket. Donations will be accepted with the money used to provide funding for Shelter Boxes deployed to disaster areas around the world. Since 2010, 43 Shelter Boxes have been distribute­d through Peachland Rotary.

Monday, July 17

• Potter’s House Church is hosting a Kids’ Camp July 17 to 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sensisyust­en Gym. The camp is for children who have completed Kindergart­en to Grade 8. Activities include archery, basketball, baseball, soccer, football and art. Camp costs $50 and includes lunch and snacks. A shuttle is available from the Webber Road Boys and Girls Club. • Participac­tion 150 Play List Camp for children six to 12 years with the theme of the Sorts of Sports will be at Mount Boucherie Secondary School from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Participac­tion 150 Play List is a national program designed to encourage all Canadians to sit less and move more. In celebratio­n of Canada’s 150th birthday, City of West Kelowna staff will be challengin­g the group to complete a number of themed activities on the list grouped into a variety of themes. • Self-Management And Recovery Training Recovery meeting 7 p.m. at the Westbank Lions Community Hall. SMART Recovery's four-point program helps people recover from all types of addictive behaviours, including alcoholism, drug abuse, substance abuse, drug addiction, alcohol abuse, gambling addiction, cocaine addiction and addiction to other substances and activities. Meetings are free, confidenti­al and last for about an hour.

• Evolve Scooter and Skateboard Camp for seven- to 14 year olds goes July 17 to 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the West Kelowna Skate-board Park. Bring a skateboard, or scooter, helmet, elbow pads, wrist guard and kneepad to master tricks. Camp costs $275 for five days. Also available July 31 to Aug. 4. Tuesday, July 18

• Park Play Days, a free casual drop-in program for children and their parents and caregivers, will be at Anders Park on Anders Drive from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Each Park Play Day provides a variety of fun activities for children two to eight years old and adults including an active craft and lots of equipment to develop sport literacy skills. Park Plays Days run Tuesdays and Thursdays in July and August. For more informatio­n, call West Kelowna Recreation and Culture at 778-797-8800.

• Kids six to 12 years old who like snakes and lizards can meet some real wild things as Okanagan World of Reptiles will be at the Westbank Library at 2484 Main St. from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. Learn all about reptiles at this free, fun informativ­e program.

• Kids eight years and older can learn to knit or crochet in the air-conditione­d comfort of the Westbank library at 2484 Main St. from 1 to 3 p.m. Drop-in. Some supplies provided.

Wednesday, July 19

• Reptiles and Amphibians will be at the Peachland library from 10 to 11 a.m. Patrick Lamontagne from the Okanagan World of Reptiles will be bringing some reptiles to the library for a fun and interactiv­e presentati­on for Summer Reading Club. Free program. The Peachland library is located at 40 - Peachland Village Mall, 5500 Clements Cres., in Peachland. Register in person at the library, online at orl.bc.ca or by calling 250-767-9111.

• Kids seven to 12 years old can join City of West Kelowna staff at the Westbank Lions Community Centre as they hop on public transit and explore the greater community at Adventure Camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Campers should be prepared for all types of weather and lots of walking.
