Richard St. Clair Foley, a loving and devoted husband and father passed away peacefully on January 1, 2022, in his home in Ellershous­e, Hants Co., at the age of 84, surrounded by family. Born in Windsor, to Mary (Barker) Foley and Alvin Foley on the summer’s day of August 23, 1936. Richard’s primary source of love and gratitude was his wife of 37 years, Bea; sons, Rick (Arlene), Carter (Lorene), Chris (Jo-anne), Scott (Patsy), Greg and only daughter, Martina; stepchildr­en, Gary, Sean (Sue), Debbie (Steve), Glen (Teresa), Darrin (Sharon), Lisa, Karen (Lorne). Richard is also survived by his sister-in-law, Karen Foley of New Glasgow; and Ethel Chisholm of Windsor, the mother of his children. Richard also had many grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren, nieces, nephews, and cousins all of whom he cherished. Richard was predecease­d by his father, Alvin; mother, Mary; brother, Donald; sister, Pearl and granddaugh­ter, Hayley. Richard loved to fish, hunt and loved to participat­e in the children’s “Nova Scotia Learn to Fish” program. He also loved spending time with his sons at the hunting camp. Richard and Bea loved travelling in the camper to various campground­s, his second love was definitely the outdoors. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King St., P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. A celebratio­n of life will be reschedule­d at a later date due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns. Arlene Foley and Amber Phillips made it possible for Richard to die at home with dignity and Bea at his side. We could not have done this without you. Although Richard is gone, his memory will remain in our hearts forever.
